About Us

David Lal & Associates (DLA) was founded by David Lal, an entrepreneur with over 25 years of business experience. 

He has been involved in numerous start-ups, experienced both successes and failures in business and understands how to handle both. Bouncing back from failures is as important is enjoying and maintaining your successes.   

Most recently he was the founder and president of a mortgage company based in San Francisco. The San Francisco Business Times ranked the firm as one of the top 25 largest Mortgage Brokers in the Bay Area for each of the last 4 years under his direction.  In that period he also received a lifetime achievement award from the Mortgage Brokers Association.

Additionally, He has written articles on the subject of real estate,  investments, business management and start-ups for numerous trade publications as well as mainstream press. He also hosted "Real Estate Today" a radio program in San Francisco.

As a business founder and principal, Mr. Lal has extensive experience raising capital in both conventional and creative means. In addition to raising capital he is able to help in developing marketing strategies unique to your business, recruit and train talented staff including salespeople as well as working with businesses to trim expenses to increase the bottom line.  

As a consultant to small business owners, David is very active in promoting educational programs for financing, marketing and general business matters as well as providing extensive one-on-one consultation and services tailored to each the client’s needs.
